Yin Style Baguazhang International returns to Knoxville, TN, in Fall 2010

Undeniably, it has been a long time since I've posted anything on here, and what better reason to take up the charge of writing on this blog again than to announce this year's Yin Style Baguazhang International Fall Tour, including its Knoxville, TN, stop. This year's tour promises to be even better than ever, repeating much of the same in the way of organization as last year, this time with all-new material. If you want to read the announcement from last year's Yin Style Bagua Knoxville tour stop, click here.

The YSB tour in Fall 2010 will be traveling to
  • San Francisco, CA (Sept. 16-19)
  • Boulder, CO (Sept. 23-26)
  • Knoxville, TN (Sept. 30-Oct. 3)
  • St. Petersburg, FL (Oct. 7-10)
  • Ann Arbor, MI (Oct. 14-17)
  • New Britain, CT (Oct. 21-24)
  • Boston, MA (Oct. 28-31)
Each of these stops offers unique curriculum surrounding two core training protocols:
  • Some stops, Knoxville included, will be rounding out half of the Lion System requirements, taking four palms and focusing hard on those, introducing the standing strengthening, striking, circle turning, and forms with applications from that core system of initial Yin Style training.
  • Other stops, Ann Arbor and New Britain, will be introducing half of the Phoenix System requirements introducing the standing strengthening, striking, circle turning, and forms with applications from this first contrasting animal system to be offered as part of the broadening standard curriculum for Yin Style practitioners.
In addition, each stop will be seeing a little bit of material from the Yin Style Baguazhang kicking and footwork and Monkey System material, the baguazhang large saber, and/or (depending on the particular stop) an introduction to the Yin Style Baguazhang straight sword (jian) training methods.

More information about this exciting fall tour will surely find its way onto this blog and other places as the event draws nearer, and anyone interested in training in Yin Style should make every attempt to travel to one or more of these seminars for direct training time with He Jinbao with Matt Bild translating and assisting. In order to do so, you need only contact the official representative of each study group that hosting a seminar that you have interest in and request information to start getting yourself set up. You should also start training harder than ever if you've already had exposure to Yin Style, or conditioning yourself physically for the demanding training if you haven't.
